Name and pictures released!

RPR Racing's Opel Astra OPC Cup has been given a name and the first pictures of the car in RPR Racing colours have been released.

In good RPR Racing tradition, the team's OPEL Astra OPC Cup car has been given a name: Lightning MEC Queen. Obviously playing on the famous Disney character, the slight variation is a tribute to the three drivers Meyrick, Einar and Carsten. Team boss Carsten says "The name fits well with those of our other cars. The V3 Renault Clio is called Hungry Hornet and the SP6 Porsche Cayman is called The Crok". He admits that the name is a bit of a mouthfull, so accepts that it will often just be referred to as the MEC.

The team has released a couple of photos from their workshop and they clearly show how the MEC's colour scheme continues the team's black and gold theme, with a few red accents and the mandatory yellow roof.
